I'm sure someone knows if it's illegal that I'm posting this guy's name and signature or not. But for now, I don't care.
I picture him looking like this:
In case you can't tell, he's getting ready to ask me to pet his monkey.
note: this blog is not about pants

great name..
I literally just cackled at that. Like a witch.
Your blog is hilarious... keep it up!
Did we ever learn Dieter's last name? That could be it. My favorite ever quote (which I use quite often in my wonderful German accent) is "Your story grows tiresome."
Holy crap. Dieter's name is also the English word for "one who diets". I never noticed that before.
Oh! My! God! So. Funny.
Baby Jack has a stuffed monkey - not taxidermy, for clarification, but a plush toy. We named him Dieter so that we can pretend Baby Jack is saying "Touch my monkey - love him." And then we giggle to ourselves as the people at the grocery store pull their children away from us.
I am cracking up not only at the post but at Ging's comment -- because the first thing I did when I saw this was think "GINGER!!"
Both funny stories. Nothing cool like that ever happens at my work.
Although I did once have a student named Barbi -- she was a total Goth chic and looked like the total opposite of a Barbi.
